 Juma Al Majid Center open a laboratory for the restoration of manuscripts in Mahj Al Qalaa

 

The Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage opens a laboratory  in Mahj Al Qalaa capital of Dagestan on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, for the preservation, processing and restoration of manuscripts and historical documents at the Institute of History, Archeology and Human Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

 

This unique project in the region aims to preserve, process and restore the manuscripts and historical documents preserved in the Institute of History and Archeology, which number 3 thousand manuscripts, in addition to tens of thousands of manuscripts in other official institutions, mosques libraries and private collections acquired by some families and individuals , Estimated to number more than 25,000 manuscripts.
