 U.S Consul General visits Juma Al Majid Center

HE Juma Al Majid, Chairman of Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage received, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, Consul General of the United States of America in Dubai Malik Paul.

Juma Al Majid discussed with the guest many issues of common interest in economic and culture. And accompanied him on an extended tour in center sections.

The guest visited the reading hall, and saw pictures of the oldest printed books in the library, which dates back to the year 1586 and the year 1593.

In National Culture section he saw pictures of the area explain the nature of life in UAE before union. And Juma Al Majid explained about pearl fishing trips in the past.

At the end of the visit, Juma Al Majid thanked the Consul for his visit, and presented to him a copy of the book Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. The Consul thanked Juma Al Majid for his efforts to protect the great heritage,and he was impressed with the collection of Juma Al Majid Center. And he said:“What a wonderful collection of heritage, culture, literature and art preserved for humanity to educate future generation who will contribute of better mutual understanding. His Excellency Juma AL Majid is to be commended for his vision and contributions to universal knowledge and education. The world would benefit greatly from more Juma Al Majids”.
