The Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage participated in the “Open Doors” event organized by the Library and Information Science Program at Al Wasl University on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The event saw the participation of several major information institutions in the United Arab Emirates, including the Mohammed bin Rashid Public Library, the National Archives and Library, the Sharjah Libraries Authority, and the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
The center’s participation included an introduction to the services it provides to students and researchers through its library, which houses rare printed books and manuscripts.
Professor Mohammed Ahmed Abdul Rahman, the university director, praised the participating institutions for their efforts in serving students and supporting community engagement. In this context, the participating institutions were honored with certificates of appreciation and commemorative shields in recognition of their valuable contributions.
The commemorative shield on behalf of the center was received by Mr. Anwar Al Dhaheri, Head of the Public Relations Division.
