Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Libraries Commission under the Saudi Ministry of Culture. The signing ceremony took place at the center’s headquarters in Dubai, with Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asim, the CEO of the Libraries Commission, representing the commission, and Dr. Mohammed Kamel Gad, the General Manager, representing the center.
This MoU aims to enhance cultural and knowledge exchange between the Libraries Commission and the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage in Dubai across various scientific and knowledge fields, especially those related to manuscripts. The memorandum included several key clauses, among which are the organization of joint training courses in the field of manuscript restoration, preservation, and cataloging, in addition to the exchange of expertise between both parties and the formation of joint committees to coordinate cooperation mechanisms.
At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asim, CEO of the Saudi Libraries Commission, toured the center’s departments and reviewed the efforts of the Juma Al Majid Center in heritage preservation and supporting researchers.
