The Importance of Reading in a Student’s Life Sheikha Al-Mutairi, head of the national heritage in Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage offered a Lecture about the importance of reading in a student’s life at the International School of Sharjah on Sunday 30/9/2012 Sheikha in her lecture focused on the subjects that revolve around reading and its importance through interactive questions with students who showed great activity and interaction. subjects that have been reviewed in the lecture: Why do we read, and why we do not read, how to turn reading into enjoyable hobby, types of books we choose, the benefits of reading, reading and behavior modification, how to be reading means for the future bright, put problems of students in reading, and develop appropriate solutions, and a review of some of the experiences readers. It was at the end of the lecture to provide some suggestions to configure a personal library for each student, and foster a spirit of cooperation, including through the work of book clubs, and borrowing operations among students.
